Practical example

Sales-to-delivery handover

Turn an accepted promise into controlled delivery information.

Handover readiness

  • Customer, users and intended outcomes are clear
  • Scope, exclusions and acceptance criteria are recorded
  • Commercial and delivery commitments agree
  • Assumptions, dependencies and risks are visible
  • Changes since the offer are approved and traceable
  • Owners, timing and communication routes are agreed
  • Open questions have owners and due dates

Evidence of completion

A useful handover is not a meeting alone. Completion is demonstrated when the receiving function confirms that information is sufficient to plan and control delivery.

Example: Adapt this structure to your organisation, customers, risks and applicable requirements. Evidence should be useful to the work—not created only for audit.
